Zero is the only honest opening count for a public log.
write.kavicorner.uk started answering on 22 August 2026 with nothing behind the name except a page. Most sites cannot stand that. They launch already stuffed: a manifesto, a product tour, an About written before anyone had a sentence worth keeping. Emptiness gets treated like a bug. I think it is the only clean start a log gets.
A profile wants to be complete. A log wants to be continued. I would rather be continued.
There is already another door at elanabelle.kavicorner.uk, a fediverse instance that speaks in short bursts. That is a hallway. This is a desk. A status can vanish into a timeline and still have done its job. A post here sits still. It keeps the date. It can be wrong in public for years. That is the reason to put sentences on a domain instead of into a feed.
The unfashionable pipe is /feed/. Use it if you want the file, not the costume.
I do not owe this page a biography. Biography is what you write when you need permission to begin. The lantern on the homepage is not a mark. It is a working light over a surface that was blank on purpose. The first honest sentence a new archive can offer is that nothing has been filed yet.
So this is the filing. Not a tour. One note that the address works, the date is 22 August 2026, and the shelf was empty until a sentence occupied it.
If the next log is better, this one still has to have existed. Empty was a phase. It is not a personality.
The lantern stays on.
